2 Corinthians 1
Some of my favorite words have always been “I promiseâ€. When I was very young I remember my dad telling me that he would not let go of my bike as I attempted to learn to ride. I hesitated until I heard his words “Kathy, I promiseâ€. Then my fears of falling seem to disappear and I gave it my all.
I’m sure it was difficult for him to run and keep holding my bike but he did what he promised. My daddy is no longer here to hold me up and keep me from falling but my heavenly Father has made me some promises and he is faithful to his word.
2 Corinthians 1: 3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictionsâ€
The next time you are struggling with a disappointment, trial or great distress remember you are not alone. God is there with you to comfort you.
